Born on June 14th, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, Marla began her career as a television star in the 1970s and continued to excel in her craft well into the new millennium.
Marla is perhaps best known for her role as Florence Johnston, the wisecracking maid on The Jeffersons. Her performance on this show earned her five Emmy nominations and solidified her status as one of America’s favorite actresses.
Additionally, she starred in two other successful television series – “227” and “The Hughleys,” both of which further proved that she was a force to be reckoned with.
