Happy 97th Birthday June Lockhart !
Today marks the 97th birthday of actress June Lockhart.
Best known for her roles in the television series Lassie and Lost in Space, Lockhart has enjoyed a long and successful career in Hollywood. Born in New York City in 1925, she made her stage debut at the age of two and made her Broadway debut at the age of 12.
Her first film role came in the 1943 comedy Mr. Lucky, and she later appeared in such classics as Meet Me in St. Louis, The Yearling, and Key Largo. In the 1950s, she starred on the TV series Lassie, playing the mother of Timmy Martin. She later starred as Maureen Robinson on Lost in Space, appearing in all 83 episodes of the series.
In recent years, she has guest-starred on such shows as Leverage, Hot in Cleveland, and Bones. Happy birthday, June Lockhart!
