Roy Orbison Performs “Oh, Pretty Woman” on American Bandstand June 1966

Oh, Pretty Woman” also referred to as “Pretty Woman” is a song recorded by Roy Orbison in 1964. This huge hit was written by Orbison and Bill Dees. It was originally released as a single in August of 1964 on the Monument Records lable. The song spent three weeks at the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 starting in September 1964. 

The record went on to sell seven million copies and was the peak of Roy Orbison’s career and marked the high point in Orbison’s career. In the attached video, Roy Orbison performs “Pretty Woman” on American Bandstand on June 5, 1966.
